Questions & Answers

I bet you've got questions for me. Let me see if I can read your mind and answer some of them here.

Who do you write for?

I focus on writing for the biz op, personal development and lifestyle industries. I've also written for clients in personal finance, healthcare, law, data management, and education.

What are your qualifications and what experience do you have?

I first got paid to write when I was 17, drafting liners, or :15 second promotions for the ratio station where I interned. (89X forever!)

These days, I spend most of my time overseeing all the copy for internet marketing superstar Jeff Walker.

As you can imagine, a lot happened in between.

I’ve worked on all kinds of writing projects with clients in several niches (you can see a bunch of them on the Select Clients page, which is nested under the Portfolio page). And I won a big contract writing copy for one of the world’s foremost copywriting teaching entities… so I must be doing something right.

I spent a few years working as a lawyer too. It wasn’t a great fit for me, but it did teach me a lot about constructing logical persuasive arguments in a unique way that other copywriters can’t. My background also gives me an edge when it comes to writing legally compliant copy, which helps save time and money for my clients.

As far as formal writing education goes --

I’m a member of American Writers and Artists, Inc., the industry leader in copywriting training. As a member of AWAI’s Circle of Success program, I have ongoing access to and support from some of the world’s most eminent copywriters. I’m also a member of Copy Chief, a community that offers regular trainings on the latest copywriting topics and techniques.

Modern Office
What types of projects do you do?

My absolute favorite type of copy to write is email copy. I love coming up with hook sand stories and creating campaigns that convert for my clients. Of course, email isn't all I do. I've written sales pages, Facebook ads, website copy, newsletters, brochures, advertorials, blogs, social media content...

Let me know what you need help with and we'll figure out how to make it happen together.

Do you offer consulting services?

Absolutely. If you’re looking for some guidance on your funnel or fresh marketing ideas, I’m happy to help you strategize, develop, and execute -- whether we’re starting from scratch, or working on something you’ve already in got in progress.

I also provide website and social media audits. Audits are great for when you’re looking to increase your ROI but don’t want to reinvent the wheel. I review your current website and/or social media profiles and make recommendations on how to optimize them for maximum engagement, conversion rates, and profitability.

While some of my clients like to book these services as a flat-rate project, others appreciate that I provide these services at an hourly rate—no retainer and no minimums required.

Speaking of fees, how much do you charge?

Like most things in life, it depends. I do custom quotes for every project based on what we think you need. My price quotes are all-inclusive, so you’ll know exactly what you’re getting in return for your investment.

What do people say about working with you?

Here are a couple of quotes from satisfied clients:

“I'm really pleased to be working with Candice again and highly recommend her for any marketing/sales/copywriting projects. She'll get the job done well AND you're sure to enjoy working with her.” - Lori Jo Vest, LJV Consulting

How long will it take you to write my copy?

Some projects may take only a couple days; others will require more time. How long it will take depends on the scope of your project. However long it takes, I factor in enough time to research, polish, edit and revise until we're both happy with every word.

I realize there are times when you need your project finished quickly. If you’re in a rush, let me know how soon you need it, and I’ll do my best to fit it into my schedule. If I'm able to take on the job, I guarantee that you will have your completed copy by the deadline—if not sooner. And no matter when it’s due, I assure you the copy I provide will be right.

What is your policy about revisions?

Let me know what you’d like changed and I will make those revisions—fast. The fee we agree to for your assignment includes REVISIONS AT NO CHARGE so long as they are requested within 30 days of your receipt of the copy from me and there are no changes to the original assignment.

Most clients are pleased with my copy when they receive it and are eager to “put it out there.” But on the off chance that you are not completely satisfied, I will revise the copy based on your feedback—at my expense.

How can I order from you?

Putting me to work for you is easy. A phone call to 786.629.6323 or an email to candice[at]candicelazar.com will get us going. We’ll discuss what you’re looking for and I’ll let you know what I need to help give me the background to write your copy.

Once you give me the go-ahead, I’ll write the assignment, and you will receive your completed copy on or before the deadline. And remember: my work is 100% guaranteed.

My clients enjoy working with an experienced marketer who is on time, efficient, reliable, and driven to produce. So—how about trying my services for your next email campaign, social media campaign, website build-out, advertorial, newsletter, or brochure? You have nothing to lose, and I promise you’ll be thrilled with the results.

And if you have a copywriting project that you’ve been wanting to get off your desk, contact me right away so I can help you get it managed and you can move on to other things. There's no charge for me to discuss your assignment with you and give you a quote, and you are in no way obligated to buy.
